A Day at the Zoo

Lupa Zoo Giraffe

Rosemary and I went to the Zoo!

What a wonderful little zoo we have so close to home. I never knew this was here. There were monkey cages and reptiles and birds. No lions, no tigers, but bears. Himalayan Bears in fact.

We started out with a little picnic of Subway sandwiches at Chicopee State Park . We loved the tall pines and quiet atmosphere. We were going to walk the trails but decided to head right out to the zoo. I still find it hard to walk around. I get so tired so easily.

It was a beautiful blue cloudless sky, that warmed us as we meandered around the grounds. The ostrich was so cool. He spread his wings and you could see the skelatal structure of them. His feet where like rubber clawed mallets, huge, hard and scruffy looking.

If you can, you should try to visit the zoo sometime.
